Nobody had one, not even the government&#8217;s official <a href=\"http:\/\/goagovt.nic.in\/\">site<\/a>. Then I chanced upon <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mapmyindia.com\/\">MapMyIndia.com<\/a>.<br \/>\nThe results for Goa were <a href=\"http:\/\/mapmyindia.com\/inner.php?location=Panaji&#038;city=North%20Goa&#038;state=Goa&#038;zip=&#038;level=CITY&#038;hgtry=sdfghjkl&#038;klsdfhjkldh=kjldhsfhds&#038;location_enter=&#038;city_enter=panaji&#038;state_enter=Goa\">impressive<\/a>. Considering that the whole postal addressing scheme in 99% of urban and rural India is very non-uniform, it would be a challenge to map addresses like &#8220;Opp. Roxy Cinema&#8221;, &#8220;Upper Ground Floor&#8221;, and &#8220;Next to Shopper&#8217;s Stop&#8221; \ud83d\ude42<br \/>\nHowever, they have a long way to go &#8212; I tried mapping the route from Mumbai Central Station to the McDonald&#8217;s in Colaba, which failed. I think the success factor is simple &#8212; navigable level 1 maps of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.indianngos.com\/issue\/cities&#038;urban\/statistics\/indian.htm\">27 major cities<\/a> in India.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was looking for a city map of Goa.
